Scanning Information
We must have a high resolution copy of the photograph
for us to work on it.
The low resolution photo that you view on a web page or that is typically sent in e-mails is not usable. You can send these as a preview for us to give you a price on the work you want done, however. You must have a high quality scanner. Use these settings for the following photograph sizes. 8x10 300 dpi 4x6 600 dpi Smaller than 4x6 900 dpi
I have a high quality scanner
and I know how to use it.
Always use the color(RGB) photo setting even if it is a black and white photo. Black and white and grayscale settings do not capture as much detail as a color setting(RGB). Turn all enhancements off. Use the information above to set the resolution. Save the photo as a high quality JPEG. Upload the photo to us or send it on a CD. Include a Photograph Information Form for each photo you send on a CD.
I do not have a high quality scanner.
You can take your photograph to a copy shop and have them do it for you. Give them the information above. Have them save the file in RGB, IBM PC format and put it on a CD. Mail the CD to us.
